About
Hello there! So you want to know a little about me and this website? Hmmm where do I begin? Lets see, I'm a fan of Amanda Bynes (obviously) and I'm running this website all on my own which is starting to become sort of a spare-time hobby of mine. What am I getting out of this you ask? Nothing really. I guess I'm just doing this for all the other Amanda fans out there. I hope you all like my site and find something cool and interesting during your visit.
I first became a fan of Amanda back in the 90's. I was one of those kids who were addicted to all those awesome old-school Nickelodeon shows. Back in those days Nickelodeon ruled the TV world and it was great being a kid growing up with those shows. Anyways, my absolute most favorite Nick show was “All That”. I remember how I always had to check the TV Guide every week just to make sure I didn't miss any episodes. It was just that great! I was hooked on the show way before Amanda was ever part of it. A couple of seasons into the show they make a few changes to the cast and next thing you know... there is Amanda Bynes. I couldn't believe how funny this girl was. The best part about it was that she was a little kid just like I was! Amanda and I are almost the same age (I'm just about seven months older than her). I think that was probably the main reason why I was able to relate to her more than any of the other actors on the show. Before she got there, the cast consisted of mainly teenagers and a couple of adults (all of which were years older than me). Once Amanda came on, I guess it opened my eyes and made me feel like little kids can really do big things. It didn't take long for her to win me over with her quirky humor... and well, I've been her fan ever since!
Although it wasn't until she got her own show “The Amanda Show” (a spin-off of “All That”) when I really started to realize and appreciate her great sense of comedy. I mean, here is a girl (who is the same age as me) who has her own show making people laugh with her zany and wacky style of comedy that was just so fun to watch. I kept comparing myself to her, wondering how a kid my age can do all the things she did. No matter what, I just couldn't imagine myself in front of a live audience making people laugh the way she so brilliantly did. That really made me appreciate her talent a lot more. Now that I'm older I can look back on it and appreciate it even more because it's just so rare to see a young child possess such a great sense and understanding of comedy. In addition to that, she was also very smart and sophisticated which is sort of a requirement for any great comedian, but to have it all at a young age is something special. If I had to describe it all in one word I'd say it's remarkable.
I'm extremely happy for Amanda's success and I think she has had an amazing acting career so far (and it's only the beginning). She's witty, she's talented, she's smart and she's exceptionally mature for her age (a trait which I really admire). You see, many child stars who grow up in front of the camera and have fortune and fame at such a young age don't know how to handle it. Unfortunately they end up messing up their lives and making the news headlines with their bad decisions and mistakes time and time again. Amanda, on the other hand, is different. She's grown up in front of the world with such class and elegance and has always been very “grown-up” in the way she behaves off-screen (AKA real life). She's very polite, kind, sweet, courteous, considerate, respectful and well-mannered which are all great characteristics in a person. She's always making the right decisions and today she is a great role model for many young people to look up to. Heck, even some older people could learn a thing or two from her. She deserves a lot of credit and respect for the way she maintained a good clean image growing up in the eye of the public. This is one of the main reasons why she is still my favorite and most respected celebrity, even after all these years. So thank you for being a great role model Amanda, and keep up the great work because good people always come out on top in the end! You're living proof of that!
